Established - Established in 1934 as a public corporation with its own independent status.

- Manages 27 developments within the City of Buffalo
- Provides 4307 housing units within the City of Buffalo
- Distributes 1372 housing vouchers through the Section 8 Voucher Program
- Screens applicants and inspects apartments annually
- Provides rent that is never more than 30% of gross income
- Presents job training and educational opportunities for tenants
- Collaborates with many social service agencies, located on-site for easy resident access
