Buffalo Fire Dept Donates To Women & Childrens Hospital

Dear Commissioner Whitfield,

Thank you your kind donation of toys for the patients and food for the Parent Lounges at the Women and Children's  Hospital of Buffalo.
It was great to see the firemen and nice to have them visit with the patients and stock the kitchens. The Buffalo Fire Department has been very generous to the Stone's  Buddies program in the past few years and we really appreciate the help.

The Stone's  Buddies program, named after former patient Stone Filipovich, is designed to provide support to chronically ill patients at the hospital and their families.  We try to help them deal with the many changes in their lives that come when you have a chronically ill child.  Our goal is to connect them with those in similar circumstances, try to make their stay at the hospital as comfortable as possible, and serve as a bridge between these families and those in the community who would like to help.

Thank you for thinking of us and for making a difference to the kids at the Women & Children's  Hospital of Buffalo.
