Good Neighbors Planning Alliance

The Good Neighbors Planning Alliance (GNPA) is a neighborhood-based planning process initiated by the Buffalo Office of Strategic Planning, as part of the City of Buffalo’s ongoing Comprehensive Planning efforts.

It seeks to actively involve citizens in the creation of community-based action plans in each of the City’s GNPA areas. 

The Good Neighbors Planning Alliance is also a community empowerment process whereby community members will have an official voice in determining the future direction of their own neighborhoods.

The Mission of the Good Neighbors Planning Alliance is to:

• Include diverse individuals and groups in the process of improving the community
• Establish new partnerships within the community
• Build the community’s capacity to address complex problems
• Improve conditions such as housing, education, recreation and the physical environment
• Improve public policies and services that impact the community
• Improve the quality of life for all.
