City Zoning Ordinances and Districts


To view City of Buffalo Zoning ordinances, go to the City homepage and click on City Charter in the City Services column. Zoning is all of chapter 511; enter 511-1 into the Charter search engine.

To view the City's zoning districts or to check the zoning for a property, come to the Permit Office, room 301, or go to the G.I.S. Maps link on the City homepage. Note: this web site section was published with approximately 90 property zoning errors; to be absolutely sure that you are zoned for the Use you want to have at a property, check with the Permit Office at (716) 851-4667, -4426, -4961, -5033, -4926, -4932, -4925, or –4924. The maps will be re-published, corrected, as soon as possible.
