- Buffalo Arts commission works closely with 17 members Arts & Cultural Funding Advisory Committee.
- Development of proposals relating to City arts acquisition and conservation.
- Serve as official representative of the Mayor at various arts and cultural functions.
- Coordinate with applicants and appropriate city departments for all special events held in the City of Buffalo.
- Carry out day to day operations of art related activities.
Current Projects - Conservation/restoration of three outdoor bronze statues : Centaur (Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society), Spirit of Womanhood (Delaware Park) and Christopher Columbus (Prospect Park)
- Implementation of new Preservation Program for ten recently conserved bronze statues located in the City of Buffalo: David, Young Lincoln and Indian Hunter (Delaware Park), The Hiker (Main & Genesee Streets), Commodore Perry (Front Park), General Bidwell (Colonial Circle), Grover Cleveland, Millard Fillmore and Samuel Welch (City Hall) and Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK Park).
- Research in cooperation with Art Conservation Department at Buffalo Statue College on new conservation techniques and graffiti removal and restoration of 19th century map and mayoral portrait by Lars Sellstedt.
