Focus on Administration’s 2006 Accomplishments; Agenda for 2007

(VIEW MAYOR BROWN STATE OF THE CITY INVITE)

BUFFALO — Mayor Byron W. Brown today announced that he will deliver his first State of the City address on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 during a 12:00 noon luncheon at the Buffalo Convention Center.

“The State of the City Address will in part recount the tremendous successes we’ve experienced during 2006 in the area of economic development, accountability, and quality of life issues,” said Mayor Brown. “But more importantly, I intend to share with the residents of our great city our Administration’s plans to build upon these successes and continue into 2007 and beyond our determination in making the City of Buffalo the best possible city to live work and raise a family.”

The Mayor will highlight the launch and implementation of CitiStat Buffalo, the city’s accountability program, the enormous boom in economic development, and the continuing improvement of service delivery throughout the city.  The event is co-sponsored by Kaleida Health and Citizens Bank.

Proceeds from the luncheon will go to the Mayor Brown’s Fund to Advance Buffalo, a not-for-profit organization that sponsors activities in the community to promote the growth and development of children through education, workplace training, financial literacy and civic responsibility.

Tickets for the luncheon are $30.00 per person or tables of eight for $240.00. For more information about the State of the City luncheon, please contact Dana Bobinchek at 984-3109 or mayorbrownsstateofthecity@yahoo.com.
