Brown and Assessment and Taxation Commissioner Martin Kennedy today announce assistance for any city residents who are facing foreclosure at the city auction scheduled on October 22, 23, and 24, 2007. The City of Buffalo encourages anyone facing foreclosure to have an attorney assist them in this process. Any Buffalo residents who cannot afford an attorney are strongly advised to contact the following agencies for assistance: Legal Services for the Elderly, Disabled or Disadvantaged of WNY Legal Aid Bureau of Buffalo Volunteer Lawyers Project Lawyers for the City of Buffalo will be available to meet with concerned homeowners who do not qualify for assistance to seek Pro Se court orders on October 17, 18, 19th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Erie County Courthouse located at 25 Delaware Avenue.
