Cutler $7,500 from Preservation League of New York State to Be Used For Survey of Historic Resources The City of Buffalo was awarded a grant in the amount of $7,500 from the Preservation League of New York State that will be used to survey historic resources in the Black Rock planning neighborhood. “Buffalo is a city rich in culture and history,” said Mayor Brown. “This grant will help us to further our preservation efforts here in Black Rock and throughout the entire City of Buffalo. I am very eager to see the results of this funding, and the future grants and tax credits it will lead to through the establishment of a National Register of Historic Place Historic District.” Ultimately, this grant will aid in the production of a Historic Resource Survey to evaluate the impact of local investment and future projects on historic resources, as well as the future nomination of a National Register of Historic Place Historic District. This nomination would make the city eligible for grants, tax credits and other resources for the rehabilitation and revitalization of properties throughout Black Rock. |
