Mayor Byron W. Brown today issued the following statement regarding the late Assemblywoman, Sandra Lee Wirth.

"I was saddened by the news of the death of my colleague, Assemblywoman Sandra Lee Wirth.  She was one of the hardest working legislators in Albany, always putting the needs of her constituents first and foremost.  She never backed down from a fight on a piece of legislation or a cause she believed in, and she always followed through on any promise made.  She will truly be missed by all who were touched by her drive, determination and resolve to make New York a great state.  My family's prayers are with her family during this difficult time."
