BUFFALO—The City of Buffalo and the County of Erie are sponsoring a Computer and Clothing Recycling Collection Day on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Buffalo Zoo from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

“Last year, the City of Buffalo recycled over 60 tons of electronics in just one day,” said Mayor Brown. "This city is committed to keeping hazardous materials such as these out of our landfills. I am pleased the city and the county were able to team up to once again to sponsor this event.”

Used clothing, computers, printers, keyboards, televisions, rechargeable batteries, cell phones and other electronics will be accepted for recycling. Items may be dropped off in the parking lot at Jewett and Parkside. The clothing will be donated to AmVets and cell phones to the Buffalo Zoo.
