The six new Battalion Chiefs are all currently Captains within the Fire Department and the new Division Chief currently serves as a Battalion Chief.

“These individuals have provided dedicated and long-standing service to the residents of Buffalo as members of the Buffalo Fire Department,” said Mayor Brown.  “I am very pleased today to promote them to their new positions within the Department.”

The new Battalion Chiefs are: Michael Tuberdyke, Michael Biasillo, Susan Brown, James Hayes, Jr., William Renaldo (currently serving in our nation’s armed forces), and Jeffrey Roberts.

Battalion Chief Brown becomes the first woman in the history of the Buffalo Fire Department to be promoted to his position.

The new Division Chief is: Scott Barry.

“These are highly experienced and well-deserving members of our Fire Department, “ said Commissioner Lombardo.  “I commend all of them for their years of excellent firefighting on behalf of our City’s residents and I congratulate them for promotions.”
