Rebuilding

Buffalo is in the process of a $1 billion city school rebuilding plan.  As a part of this plan, the State of New York will reimburse 94% of the cost of renovating the 78 city schools.  The Joint School Construction Board is currently evaluating the proposals from 12 firms across the country to develop this project.

The first phase of the project is scheduled to begin construction next year, with a $123 million renovation of 14 schools.
