Hamlin Park Community

Hamlin Park is a community bounded on the northwest by the center line of Main Street, on the north by the center line of Kensington Avenue, on the south by the center line of East Utica Street, on the east by the center line of Humboldt Parkway, and on the west by the center line of Jefferson Avenue. It is a tree lined community of some 5,700 residents in the heart of the city. Most of the housing in Hamlin Park was built during the early twentieth century, and reflects the national trend in architectural styles of that time. The four styles of architecture most prevalent in Hamlin Park are the American Foursquare, Homestead, Bungalow, and Colonial Revival. Business places are located on the main corridors: East Ferry Street, Jefferson Avenue, and East Delavan Avenue.
