Overview

  • The Buffalo Division for Employment and Training operates a One stop Career Center that provides quality workforce development services that increase the occupational and educational skill attainment, employment, job retention, and earnings of adults and youth residing in the City of Buffalo.
  • Services available to job seekers include career planning, career counseling, occupational skills training, basic skills training (GED and English as a second language training), job search and assistance, resume preparation, skill testing and job placement assistance.
  • In partnership with the Workforce Investment Board and Business Services, the Buffalo Employment and Training Center also offers workforce development services to area businesses. Special emphasis is placed on meeting the workforce needs of companies involved in city economic development projects and activities whether it may be upgrading current workforce, or companies looking to expand.
