Description |
This bust sits atop a tall granite base that is engraved with a harp
and the name "Verdi." The inscription engraved on the lower half of
the base reads: "Erected 1907 by the Italians of Buffalo, moved and
rededicated Dec. 28, 1977 by the Federation of Italian American
Societies of W.N.Y."

Bio. |
This bust was presented to the City of Buffalo by its Italian-American
residents in memory of the famous Italian composer. The bust was
recast from an original formally installed at this location. The
original bust is now located in Forest Lawn Cemetery atop a new base.
