Description |
The inscription on plaque reads: "Hoyt Lake - Named in honor of
William Ballard Hoyt II. His vision, dedication and concern for the
environment helped beautify and preserve this lake for the people of
Buffalo. Delaware District Councilman 1970 - 1974. New York State
Assemblyman 1975 - 1992. 'The Earth never offered man water as a gift.
Water was a part of her. It is her blood. Her moving force.' Michael
Robinson, Cree Poet."
