Description |
Fireman in uniform stands with proper right hand at his side. His
proper left arm supports a fire horn and there is fire hose located at
his feet. Plaque reads: (?)

Bio. |
This statue was originally erected by a Volunteer Fireman Benevolent
Association of Buffalo and adorned the top of a columnar monument in
Forest Lawn Cemetery. The statue was donated to Buffalo and Erie
County Historical Society in 1901, when it was decided that it should
be replaced due to weathering. It is considered the first monument
erected in the city of Buffalo.
